Warx and Ós gat Location: Concordia Avenue Tunnel Date: 2022 The mural ” The uphill struggle for petrol” is a critique of energy dependence and poverty on Earth, pointing out the need for solutions based on sustainable systems, such as the use of bicycles in urban areas or renewable energies. The mural is forceful and clear, showing two people on a slope. It shows two people on a slope dragging a vehicle with an empty petrol tank. One of the people is in front of the car with a bicycle, and another at the rear of the vehicle pushing it with all his might. The elements that make up the piece adapt both to the surface and to the setting, but it is an artifice to make it appear that the protagonists are hauling the car up the slope of the tunnel. The artists aim to provoke public reflection through the use of satire. The work invites us to think about where technology and industry are leading us. This mural incorporates the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda on ending poverty, affordable and clean energy, reducing inequalities and sustainable cities and communities. Artists: J.
